POSITION SUMMARY (Basic purpose or primary function of job)
The Sr. Director, Content & Creative Delivery is responsible for supervising the production of the Arthritis Foundation’s content and creative assets, from large productions to tactical asset creation. They will be responsible for ensuring these assets are delivered on time, accurately, and in line with established creative and/or brand strategies and guidelines.
This individual will work directly with the SVP of Marketing & Communications, Sr. Director of Content, Creative & Brand Strategy, and other senior members of the team to develop and lead a highly engaged, high-performing team. They will manage a team of creative professionals such as writers, designers and video editors, and oversee a complement of external resources such as freelance writers and designers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (Principal responsibilities or job duties)

Management of internal and external content and creative resources to ensure that deadlines, requirements, brand standards, and budgets are being met.

Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Content, Creative & Brand Strategy to understand established guidelines and strategies for content and creative.

Collaborate with Strategic Marketing Managers and their internal stakeholders to help navigate and balance priorities, level of effort expectations, and individual wants with available resources (both internal and external).

Manage team to fulfill high-demand workflow and ensure the highest level of responsiveness, proactively identifying obstacles and opportunities to optimize.

Utilize the team’s project management platform for both resource allocation and load leveling, as well as best practices for scheduling tasks to ensure appropriate approvals are obtained.

Oversee direct reports’ management of freelancers on assigned projects, including writers, editors, photographers, designers and illustrators; periodic contact, as needed, with print and other vendors to ensure that final products and files meet standards and specifications.

Manage and mentor staff to foster a culture of growth, development and pride in delivering assets that fulfill the Arthritis Foundation’s mission.

Hands-on design work may be required to support project requirements.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in art or a related field with emphasis on graphic design.

10+ years of experience in design, layout and production, and 5+ years of art direction experience.

Experience leading a team consisting of internal and freelance writers, content editors, print and digital designers and video editors

Skills in effective visual storytelling, creative direction, photography and illustration

Demonstrated ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment, handling multiple projects and priorities

Extensive experience with project management systems like Hive, etc.

Proven experience in translating content and creative strategies into successful asset delivery, such as articles, videos, PDFs and graphics.

Thorough knowledge of Macintosh computer systems and expertise in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Canva
